| IntraChat Linux Client |

Download the Linux version of the client. The distribution
contains the source as well as the binary. To compile the source you need Gtk 1.2
development library, Glibc , GCC, Make ,etc. If you do not have these full set of
libraries, you can simply install the precompiled Binary by extracting the the Tar file in
a temporary directory and typing "make install" in the extracted
directory. You can then run the client by creating a Launcher on the desktop with a
command line "/usr/local/bin/ic". |

Download the Server for the IntraChat Chat client. The
Distribution consist of the source and a precompiled Binary with the init script. To
compile the server,you need GlibC, GCC pthread and crypt libraries.The precompiled binary
has its authentication overridden. To enable it., comment the appropriate line in the
Server.c in the authenticate() function. To install, extract the source and type
"./install" in the source directory. Then enable the "icsd" service
from "ntsysv" utility so that server can run as daemon on bootup |

Download the IntraChat Client for the Chat System
developed by Vaidyanath Das. It is still in development stage and does not support FTP and
White Board. To run this , you will need the "flatbutton.ocx" provided
free by www.devpower.com. To install the client,
simply extract the file "IntraChat.exe" from the zip file into a folder.
Beforehand, you should have install the flatbutton.ocx file formats installer. |

IntraChat Client for Windows require this ocx file. To install the ocx , extract the
distribution in a temporary folder and run "install.bat". Now run
"Regsvr32.exe" to register the ocx file. |

Sorry, its currently in Microsoft Word Document format!. The documentation of the
project gives the details of the chat facilities, menu system. Whole
architecture of the system could found in the documentation. The specifications and format
of the communication of the server as well as the client could also be found. The
Messaging architecture and its format has been made open so one can develop its own Client
for other platforms as well. |
